Our curriculum focuses its instruction on Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre, although new classes may be introduced at any time. The Conservatory offers a well-rounded program to suit any dancer’s needs and desires whether they be competitive, professional or recreational. We strive to offer our students a positive atmosphere with the highest caliber of instruction available so they may reach their full potential. Students may be required to audition for a particular dance class at the instructors discretion.
Competitive and RAD students
Students that are registered in the Medicine Hat College Conservatory’s Dance Program at either the competitive level, or within the RAD ballet program may only dance within our program. Exceptions to this rule are if the student is taking a style of dance that we do not offer at our program (eg. Ballroom, Highland) or if they are taking additional ballet classes to either improve technique or complete examinations. These classes must not conflict with schedules set out for our students, and students may not compete for other studios. This rule is being set in place to avoid the conflicts at competition time, recital time and examinations. All fees associated with competitive classes are non-refundable. Students with outstanding balances will not compete.
