Dance Dress Attire

The following are uniform requirements for the different forms of dance that we will be offering, All of the dance clothing is available at Applause Dance and Active Wear, 2202-15th Avenue S.E, Medicine Hat. 403.526.4921

Dress code will be in effect two weeks after the first day of classes to give everyone sufficient time to purchase dance items. The instructor has the right to prohibit a student from entering class if they are without proper attire.

Tinytots & Kindertots
Any colour leotard (preferable pink, white or blue)
Tights or leggings
Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes

Open Ballet
Any colour bodysuit
Pink or white tights
Open ballet 3 & up - Spandex shorts over tights
Pink ballet shoes

Hip Hop
Pants should be baggy/comfortable, no jeans allowed
Thick strapped tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies
No spaghetti straps or bare bellies
Light runners, hip hop dance shoes, chucks

Jazz - Tap - Lyrical - Modern
Nothing baggy, jazz pants are preferred or tight leggings
Students can also wear body suit with tights and shorts, or a
half top
Hair should be up and away from the face
Jazz - Black jazz shoes preferred
Tap - Black tap shoes
Lyrical - Tan jazz shoes
Company - TBA - May wear what you have until costumes are chosen

Grade 1 and 2 Ballet
Lavender tank style bodysuit with matching waist elastic

Grade 3, 4, and 5 Ballet
Mulberry tank style pinch front bodysuit with matching waist elastic

Grade 6 Ballet
Please note the bodysuit colour and style will be determined by the students
and the teacher when year commences.
