Attending MHC enabled me to fulfil my dream of becoming a nurse, and with that start I have been blessed with an amazing 38-year career. My passion in life has always been to care for others, and my nursing career has fulfilled this goal. I am very proud to be an MHC nursing graduate!
Through the many positive experiences and acquaintances established, I left MHC with the basic foundation to move on and build a solid career in the oil and gas industry.
After 12 years of working and raising a family, I felt it was time to make a change. It was easy and fun to fall back into a learning atmosphere at MHC.
After College Prep, I enrolled in the Environmental Reclamation Technician program and now work for Cypress County.
Both of the programs I completed - Massage Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant - made me a well-rounded therapist. MHC gave me a wonderful experience which helped me to become a successful spa owner.
MHC has been instrumental in allowing me to continually expand my knowledge, which has assisted me as an employee and business owner.
Knowledge is power and MHC enabled me to learn more in two years than I had in the previous 10. With my extensive training, I was given an opportunity to teach massage therapy in St. Lucia in 2002 which is definitely one of the highlights of my career.
I wanted to work in the outdoors since I was young, and the Ecotourism program was the perfect way to combine work and play. I am fortunate enough to work where I play, in an area that I love, doing what I'm passionate about.
Being an interpreter for Parks Canada is my dream job.
MHC was a great bridge between high school and university, teaching you independence and that your future was your responsibility.
MHC was probably the best choice for me as it was a stepping stone to university and big city living.
It prepared me educationally, socially and emotionally for a successful educational career!
Tony studied Education at MHC and is currently living in Brooks, Alberta and working for Cenovus Energy. He is married with three children and enjoys golfing, camping and sea dooing.
Barry studied Welding at MHC and is currently working for Bromley Mechanical in Medicine Hat.
His favourite memories of MHC are playing foosball at lunch and instructors Abe and John.
