Booking Audiovisual Equipment and Software

We require advance notice of 24 hours in order to be able to guarantee delivery when you need it.

Book equipment and software:

  • In person: At the AV section of the Circulation Desk located in the front of the library.

Information needed for a booking:

  • Your name
  • Room number
  • Time equipment is needed
  • Ending time of class or presentation
  • Equipment needed
  • Title of any audio visual software needed

AV staff will deliver and set up the equipment and software, and will pick it up at the end of the class.

Dubbing Services

The AV Department of Library Services provides AV dubbing services that allow original AV content to be copied/transferred from one medium to another (e.g., VHS transfer to DVD).

Preview Rooms

There are 5 group study rooms located in the library which may also be booked for viewing videos or other audio visual media. Booking sheets are posted at the entrance to each room.

Audiovisual Copyright Statement

Medicine Hat College has various licensing agreements in place in regards to the use of or recording of feature films, television programming (news, documentary, educational, etc.). In order to comply with copyright law, strict adherence to these agreements is strongly encouraged. When booking audiovisual equipment for the showing of feature films and videos, please let library audiovisual staff know if you will need a reporting form to record the details of the use. Alternatively, you may use the reporting form available here on the library's website.
