Originally born on a farm in southern Manitoba, Katrina Lehenbauer, after graduating from high school, ventured off to the University of Alberta and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
During her years in Edmonton, Katrina was an executive member of the Nutrition and Food Science Student's Association (NuFSSA), as well as President of Healthnuts, another student organization committed to teaching the philosophies and skills associated with creating and maintaining a healthy diet. She also played in various recreation sport leagues including volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, soccer and curling. Balancing school, athletics, healthy eating and social networking has always been a major priority for Katrina, and she is excited to share her expertise in nutrition as well as many simple, healthy lifestyle choices.
Katrina moved to Medicine Hat in the spring of 2008 and she is currently the Nutritionist for the Athlete Sport Development Centre at MHC, the School Healthy Eating Facilitator for Prairie Rose School Division No. 8 and also provides contract work for Alberta Health Services; Community Nutrition and Healthy Weights. In her spare time, Katrina loves anything to do with being outdoors, particularly gardening, golfing, mountain biking, hiking and yoga.
