The team’s success will rely heavily on returning 2nd year players Bernie Ramirez, Jared Ursulan, Marshall Henderson, Mason Antler and John Walker. The Rattlers Men will be excited to see the return of 3rd year player Mark Scheffelmair who missed the 2012 season due to a Tibia/Fibula break that occurred during the 2012 pre-season. Additionally, Austin Desharnais will return to the squad after taking a year off due to injury. Desharnais will be a huge addition to the Rattlers Men’s midfield. While still relatively inexperienced, the Rattlers Men look forward to the contribution that will be made by all of their returning players.
Top recruits for the 2013 Year are Peter Ntignee, Albert Woodroffe-Brown, Spencer Krawczyk, Marcus Poisson and Albert Musliu. Ntignee, Woodroffe-Brown and Krawczyk will play huge roles in strengthening the Rattlers Midfield in addition to adding offensive firepower. Poisson and Musliu will bring their outstanding all around abilities to either the Rattlers Men’s Midfield or Defense. The addition of these five players will make the Rattlers Men a force to be reckoned with.
The Men’s Soccer Team will compete in the South Division of the ACAC against Lethbridge College, Red Deer College, SAIT, Olds College and Lakeland College. As has been the case during the last several years, any team will be capable of taking points off of their South Division opponent. This will make for an exciting Outdoor Soccer Season.
