TG ARPH 235 Introduction to Photography
Course focuses on black and white and colour photographic processes with emphasis on the potential for accuracy and realism in the photographic image. (Formerly ARPH 235) NOTE: This course is for non-Visual Communication students.

TG ARPH 335 Photography I
Prerequisite: ARFN 232 & ARFN 233
Course focuses on fundamental, technical, and aesthetic considerations of the still camera and silver based photographic materials, and basic use of the microcomputer in support of digital image processing in art. (Formerly ART 335)

TG ARPH 337 Photography II
Prerequisite: ARPH 335
Course provides further work in photography, including intensive use of the variable of exposure, development, and printing of photographic materials, and the exploration of corresponding digital image controls. (Formerly ART 337)

ARPH 435 Photography III
Prerequisite: ARPH 337
This course will provide an in-depth examination of the photographic portrait in a contemporary Canadian context. Students will acquire a sound technical understanding of the portrait medium, involving both in-studio and on-location practice, and will be expected to produce a semester-end portfolio for exhibition. (Formerly ART 435)
