| The purpose of this course is to help you develop your skills in the five subject areas of the GED test: reading, writing, social studies, science, and mathematics. Times are flexible and are arranged with instructional staff during the hours of operation of the Open Learning Centre. You are required to spend a total of four hours per week in the Open Learning Centre. A variety of learning strategies are used. A number of employers accept the General Education Development (GED) Diploma as equivalent to a high school diploma. Before choosing this option, please consult your employer or a Medicine Hat College academic advisor. This course is graded CR/NC. NOTE: The course cost does not include the GED exam fee. |
