Program OverviewThe combination of technical and artistic skills makes Medicine Hat College's CADD Technical Illustration program unique in Canada.
CADD Technical Illustrators use creative and artistic skills to supplement or enhance the basic technical knowledge required by today's industry. There is a demand within industry to find new methods of marketing products or skills in a very competitive work environment.
In addition to the standard engineering and architectural drawings, you will also use the computer to design three-dimensional objects, create animations and use multimedia presentations to help industry promote their ideas and products. A career as a CADD Technical Illustrator will also allow you to apply your technical and artistic skills to generate meaningful manuals, photo realistic computer models, engineer and architecture drawings to meet the requirements of industry.
