Program Overview

Business Diploma Route

Students presenting a two-year college diploma in business administration or a closely related field will receive 60 credits of block transfer award toward the first two years of the Bachelor of Commerce (Post Diploma) General degree.

Non-Business Diploma Route

Students presenting two or three year professional diplomas from an accredited college or technical institute in non-business fields may receive between 30 and 60 credits of block transfer award toward this degree program. All diplomas presented must be approved for credit by Athabasca University.

This degree requires students to complete a minimum of ten courses through Athabasca University to fulfill the residency requirement. Students may complete this degree by taking a combination of Medicine Hat College and Athabasca University courses or entirely through distance learning.
Students must have a weighted average of at least 1.7 (60 percent) across all courses taken at Athabasca University towards a Bachelor of Commerce (Post Diploma) General degree in order to graduate.

Students complete the program regulations in effect at the time of their enrolment.
