Dental Hygiene (Pre-Professional) University of Alberta
Program OverviewThe minimum requirement for admission to the Dental Hygiene Diploma program is the satisfactory completion of 30 transferable credits (ten courses), of which a minimum of 24 credits (eight courses) must be taken during one Fall/Winter academic year (September to April inclusive). A minimum overall and pre-professional GPA of 2.7 is required to be considered for admission, however, does not guarantee acceptance to the Dental Hygiene Diploma program at the University of Alberta
As part of the admission process, competitive applicants will be interviewed by an admissions team to determine if they possess the personal qualities necessary for the profession. The Dental Hygiene Diploma program at the University of Alberta is a quota program and all applicants are in open competition for any given year. Applications for admission are accepted between July 1 and November 1 prior to the year admission is sought. Please note that limited spaces are available for out-of-province applicants
