Education Assistant

Program Overview

The Education Assistant program at Medicine Hat College Campus and Brooks Campus prepares you to work with children who require assistance in developmental and/or learning tasks. Particular foci of the program are (i) working under the supervision and direction of a teacher to assist children in elementary and middle schools (Grades K-9) and (ii) working under the supervision and direction of a teacher to assist children with developmental and/or learning difficulties. You will also be prepared to work with children in a range of out of school settings.

It is now possible to take the Education Assistant program entirely online if you wish. This is the result of an eCampus collaboration project. Please contact the Program Coordinator for details.
