Private lessons missed due to the absence of the instructor will be made up at a future date mutually agreed upon by student and instructor.
If 24 hours of notice is given, a student absence due to illness will be made up by the instructor. No reason other than illness is acceptable. Lessons missed by the student will be charged.Statutory holidays - The Conservatory will be closed on all statutory holidays. Instructors may or may not choose to teach on these dates at their discretion. Master class, competition, concert and recital opportunities contribute toward lesson time provided by our faculty. This policy is designed to accommodate everyone so that families and instructors may enjoy statutory holidays. Group classes - Group classes cannot be made up, although every effort will be made by the instructor to bring the student up to date. Scheduled lesson or class - Each one hour of scheduled class will have 50 instructional minutes and 10 minutes of transitional time for instructor and student.
Students must register for classes prior to class start date.
Late Registration: Students who have been attending lessons/classes but have not registered by September 30 will be assessed a late penalty charge of $50 per student. Outstanding fees - In the case of outstanding fees from a previous semester, registration will be refused until all outstanding fees are paid in full.
Late Enrolment - Fees for students starting lessons during the course of the year will be assessed on a pro-rated basis. Some courses may have an entry cut-off date.
Adding Classes or Increasing Amount of Time - Increases must be paid at the time of registration. No adjustments to existing post-dated payments will be allowed.
Students health care numbers must be provided at the time of registration in case of medical emergencies.
To receive a refund, the student's instructor must be notified and a drop form must be completed and submitted to the Conservatory Office. Refunds are the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian.
Refunds are based on the date that the Add/Drop forms are received and dated by the Conservatory Office. It is the responsibility of the student/parent/guardian to complete these forms and submit them to the office.
