Hire An ETOL Student

Our students are highly motivated, capable and have completed academic and employment readiness training - they are ready to make an immediate contribution to your oraganization!

How does it work?

Each placement is approximately 16 weeks in duration. The minimum hours required for each placement is 450 hours of on-site work. The student will need to work full-time at the field study placement site in order to achieve the course requirements within the allotted time.

These placements are paid positions so students must be remunerated. Payment can be in the form of wages, certification, a course or room and board.

Field study placements normally last for 4 months, parallel to academic terms, so students can seamlessly combine academic and practical learning as they complete their applied degree program.   Second year students are available May through August and third year students are available January through August for placement opportunities.

What are the benefits to my organisation to have an ETOL job placement student?

  • Access to a supply of students who offer fresh perspectives, new ideas, approaches and solutions to the issues challenging your business.
  • Short-term work needs can be met with ETOL students because of vacation schedules, training commitments, peak workloads, special projects, or research requirements.
  • Access to a personalized professional support system (Faculty Advisor) who is there to help you with every stage of the process.
  • Immediate posting of job descriptions and notices to our students on your behalf.
  • Assistance in scheduling interviews and accessibility to interview rooms on campus.
