Conference ServicesAccommodation: Our on-campus housing is among the lowest priced in Alberta and consists of 75 well-maintained townhouse units, only a few minutes walking distance from the college. <details> Banking: An automated interac banking machine is available on campus. Bookstore: Let our bookstore help you with your conference kits or with those last minute gifts to take home. We have a wide selection of College crested sportswear, glassware and mementos. The bookstore also carries a full line of conference supplies, such as name tags, makers and flip charts. Classrooms: We have a large number of classrooms to choose from. Cultural Centre: A short walk across campus and overlooking a tree lined pond, is the glass encased foyer of our Cultural Centre. These are wonderful places to escape to read a book, have a quiet chat with a friend, or do a bit of work. Facility: Medicine Hat College offers a modern versatile facility amid a park-like campus. The main building was completed in 1974 and constant renovation and renewal have ensured the building is capable of addressing many needs. Outdoors, Medicine Hat College offers shady lawns and cool ponds on hot summer days. The campus overlooks Kin Coulee park and has easy access to many recreational opportunities. Fitness and Wellness: For your health and enjoyment, our facilities are smoke free. Let us make fitness a part of your conference. Participants can start their day with a run around the campus or on the City's extensive trail system. Ride a bike in our fully equipped exercise room. Tennis and golf enthusiasts, are encouraged to take advantage of the tennis courts on campus and nearby golf courses. The qualified staff of our Fitness Testing Centre would be pleased to present a talk on fitness and nutrition, or test the fitness level of your conference delegates. Ease that tension and enjoy a relaxing massage by one of our students in training. Food Services: Our food services staff are at their best when working with conference planners and will make your stay a culinary experience. Whether it is a Continental breakfast in our sun filled Courtyard, a light lunch, or a tantalizing gourmet dinner, they will tailor your food and beverage needs to participant and budget needs. Liquor service is available with your meals or arrangements can be made for your delegates to meet after hours in our Rattler's Den. Gymnasium: For large conferences, our wheel chair accessible gym can accommodate over 1000 people. Location: A city of just over 60,000 residents, Medicine Hat boasts more sunshine than any other Canadian city. With a moderate climate, over 100 kilometres of walking trails throughout the city, art galleries, unique shopping and more this jewel of the prairies has something for everyone. Follow the South Saskatchewan River as it winds through the city and enjoy the beautiful view of the coulees as you take in everything this great city has to offer. Seminar Rooms: There are several attractive seminar rooms to choose from. Two are conveniently adjacent to our food services area. Soft Seat Area: In the main building, sky lights and art work enhance a large soft seating lounge adjacent to Food Services and the Rattler's Den. Technology Resources : Computer Labs, computer screen projectors, slide projectors, wireless mics, overhead projectors, video cameras and other audio visual equipment is available to your conference planners. Arrangements may also be made to access photocopying services, a fax machine, telephones, word processors, interactive video and email. Theatre: For those large sessions, our fully equipped theatre seats 539 people and space for 9 wheel chairs. No seat is too far from the stage and the acoustics are superior. Transportation: Medicine Hat is located on the Trans Canada Highway and offers convenient connections to domestic and international flights via the Calgary International Airport. Greyhound Bus Lines provides several arrivals and departures daily. Vera Bracken Library: During coffee breaks or after hours, conference participants are more than welcome to listen to CD's or browse through the latest magazines and newspapers in our library.
