Medicine Hat College invites applications for a Counsellor in our Student Development department. This appointment is full time term specific, 35 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible to March 10, 2021.
This position will provide crisis intervention and counselling services to students at our Medicine Hat campus. As part of a larger mental health strategy, the Counsellor will assist in resolving personal issues hindering academic success, liaise with internal and external student support services, and maintain student records and statistical data as required by Counselling Services. The Counsellor will develop and deliver student support forums including workshops on managing stress, balancing studies with personal lives, establishing positive relationships, and sexual health.
