Employee orientation and training begins at the acceptance of an offer and goes throughout the life cycle of an employee. Onboarding, learning & development of team members is important for long-term success. MHC employees are to complete the following orientations and training courses as noted below:

• Department orientation: this is mandatory for all employees. Please contact your supervisor to arrange.
• Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) orientation: this is mandatory for all employees. Please contact the OH&S Manager to arrange.
• Human Resources orientation: required if indicated in your offer of employment
• Benefit orientation: required if indicated in your offer of employment
• Code of Conduct training (available on Blackboard)
• Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) training (available on Blackboard)
• First Aid Training (free for MHC employees. Please contact the OH&S manager for more information.)
• Policy training (as requested – contact HR)
