Iron Spear bursary to support IT students at MHC

September 24, 2021

A recent collaboration between Iron Spear and Medicine Hat College (MHC) will see Information Technology students benefit from $7,500 in bursaries over the next three years.

The Iron Spear Information Technology Bursary will provide a student who demonstrates financial need with $2,500 towards their tuition each year. The funding is available for the 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 academic years.

“Iron Spear believes in developing future talent in IT and with this in mind, we have partnered with Medicine Hat College to create this bursary for students who need assistance with their tuition,” says Robyn Wilkins of Iron Spear.

Steven Letkeman, coordinator and instructor for the Information Technology program at MHC, says the partnership further signifies industry alignment and opportunity for future collaboration.

“We are excited to work alongside Iron Spear and are grateful for their generous support of our learners. MHC is committed to providing programming and opportunities for students that align with industry needs and employment possibilities, therefore having an industry leader such as Iron Spear show their support for what we’re doing here is invaluable.”
