UNIVERSITY TRANSFER

About this Program

You can begin your engineering studies at Medicine Hat College and transfer on to another institution to complete your degree.

MHC has formal transfer agreements with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Engineering.

We recommend that you meet with an academic advisor from Medicine Hat College and from the university you plan to attend regarding admission requirements and course selections. Navigating a transfer can be very complex, and course selection is very important to ensure you meet the admission requirements of the institution you wish to apply to.

Please Note: University transfer engineering is a competitive entry program.  Meeting minimum published admission averages does not guarantee admission to the program. Applying as early as possible and maintaining high averages in the required high school courses will make you a more competitive applicant.

Prospective students are required to submit an application and all available documentation prior to May 1. All applicants will receive communication on their application status by June 1.
