About the Program

Please note: This program is designed exclusively for Canadian domestic students. International students are not eligible to apply for this program.

MHC's new Data Analytics diploma provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to gather data, find trends, make forecasts and provide solutions to help employers make better-informed decisions. With over 50% of training on the job, this program offers flexible learning that allows students to work, learn, and grow their resume.

Supporting a variety of industries from government and education to marketing and healthcare, this career path may be of interest to individuals who are curious and enjoy problem-solving, love working with numbers and have a strategic and creative mind.

A typical day-in-the-life may include:

  • Data Collection: Conduct surveys and gather insights from various platforms and through the purchase of datasets from reputable organizations
  • Data Cleaning: Maintain raw data so it has less errors and duplication and reduce the risk of inaccurate interpretation
  • Data Modeling: Create and design a structure that presents information in a consumable way
  • Data Interpreting: Finding patterns and trends that help answer questions
  • Data Communicating: Present findings and help lead organizations on a sustainable path forward

High School Route

  • ELA 30-1 or ELA 30-2
  • Math 30-1 or Math 30-2 
  • Two Grade 12, 5-credit subjects with 50% or better.

Mature Route (21 years of age or older)

  • ELA 30-1 or ELA 30-2
  • Math 30-1 or Math 30-2
