Courtney Marchesin

Courtney Marchesin completed her Master’s degree at the University of Lethbridge in the Summer of 2011, specializing in Sport Psychology.  While finishing her undergraduate degree at the U of L, Courtney become involved in the field research conducted within the Emotion and Sport Performance Laboratory, which is where she completed her master’s thesis research as well.  In addition, Courtney has actively contributed to her development as an applied sport psychology consultant by acting as the Mental Skills trainer for a collegiate-level team for two seasons, as well as holding sessions and workshops with other sport organizations in and around Lethbridge.

Courtney has just started with the ASDC-SE, and will be hosting regular PSYCHED! with Courtney sessions throughout the Athlete Enhancement Program’s calendar year.  With 17 years of previous figure skating experience, Courtney understands the nature of athletic environments.  Understanding these situations and working with athletes to reach their full performance potential within them is one of the many reasons she is looking forward to working with the emerging athletes within the program.
