Medicine Hat College’s School of Business and Continuing Studies invites applications for part-time, contract instructor positions for 2024-25.
The certificate program provides both theory and practice to help individuals seeking an entry-level administrative position associated within the Bookkeeping field. The program is delivered on Brooks Campus approximately 6 hours per week for 13 weeks. Applicants to instruct a Computerized Bookkeeping Certificate program should ideally possess a blend of technical expertise, teaching skills, and industry experience.
A little about the role:
The primary workload will include delivery of courses in the Computerized Bookkeeping Certificate. This position requires passion and commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team, comfortable using technology and teaching online. Courses may include Introduction to Bookkeeping, Sage 50, QuickBooks Online, MS Office software (Excel).
Details:
- Possess a deep understanding of popular bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Sage.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) can enhance an instructor's credibility and demonstrate their expertise in the field.
- A Certificate / Diploma in a related field combined with professional qualifications and significant bookkeeping experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Teaching experience training adults in a classroom or online setting.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A commitment to student success.
