Medicine Hat College invites applications for program development experts for the School of Arts, Science and Education. The SMEs will work in collaboration with the Associate Dean(s), the school, and the Centre for Innovation and Teaching Excellence team to establish an Anatomy and Physiology for Pharmacy Technician course for the Pharmacy Technician Program to be delivered in Fall 2026 (BIOL 162). This project is to be completed by June 2026.
A little about the role:
The position will be responsible for developing a comprehensive course outline that includes the course description, learning outcomes, prerequisites, textbooks, and requirements. Responsibilities also include creating complete online content for Blackboard Ultra, weekly topic overviews, student learning outcomes by module, and reference lists with copyright clearance. Additionally, the role requires designing all assignments, in-class activities, and exams with answer keys and rubrics, as well as establishing evaluation guidelines such as grade distribution, marking criteria, and assignment/exam explanations.
Details:
• 3 years teaching experience is required, and course/program development experience is preferred.

Appointment: ASAP - June 2026
Compensation: $6,000 total
