This course is built for people working in agriculture who want practical electrical knowledge and hands-on experience to safely work with electrical systems and equipment on the farm or ranch.

In this hands-on, in-person course, you’ll cover electrical safety, circuit basics, and key codes and standards. You’ll learn how to properly size conductors, breakers, and devices, and understand wiring requirements for indoor, outdoor, and livestock settings. You’ll also learn the circuit requirements for equipment such as motors, welders, pumps, generators, and solar systems.

Practical exercises include running and connecting wiring, installing devices, and setting up basic electrical circuits. You’ll also work with different types of wiring and protective devices used to keep systems safe and reliable.
