The focus of this course is to offer the students importantinformation about lifestyle challenges specific to a law enforcement environment such as the impact of shift work and stress, the hazard of post-traumatic stress disorder, the value of physical fitness, and the need for dietary balance. The students will be introduced to concepts of healthful living and the dangers of self-medication and substance abuse. The second component of the course will involve preparations for future careers, including covering letters, resumes and undertaking a behavioral interview.
