Internship in Addictions Counselling
You observe and participate in the practice of addictions counselling within a fieldwork experience. On-line and on-site seminars facilitate the integration of theory, research, and practice. You are required to attend a one week seminar on campus part way through the semester. NOTE: You must have access to the Internet at your placement site or residence in order to participate in the online weekly assignments and discussions. Additional Requirements: Prior to starting practicum students must receive certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Opportunity for this training will be coordinated by the program but students are responsible for the cost. (Approx $200)
