Kimberlee Brooks, MSC, RD

Kimberlee Brooks is a sport dietitian with the Alberta Sport Development Center SE. She has been practising as a registered dietitian since 2001 and has experience working with a variety of athletes, parents and coaches. Kimberlee supports athletes to build their skills in sports nutrition in the areas of recovery nutrition, hydration, pre and post competition eating, eating away from home and during tournaments, meal planning, label reading, grocery shopping, cooking and more!

Kimberlee graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Bachelors’ degree in 2000 and completed her dietetic internship with Saskatoon District Health in 2001. Kimberlee became interested in the application of sports nutrition in 2003 when she started training for a marathon held in Amsterdam as part of Team Diabetes. She completed the Intensive Sport Nutrition Course provided by the Sports Dietitians Australia and Dietitians of Canada in May 2011. Kimberlee also completed her Master of Science degree in Health Science at the University of Lethbridge in the spring of 2012.

Outside of work, Kimberlee enjoys being active by playing slowpitch, biking, hiking and walking her dog. Kimberlee and her husband Chris stay very busy with their four boys. They can often be found cheering and supporting the boys at baseball, hockey, volleyball and basketball.
