Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree paired with a National Certification by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) in Emergency Nursing.
Her professional journey has seen her navigate through the challenges of emergency nursing, flight nursing, offshore occupational health nursing, trauma nursing, and rural, urban and remote nursing. Throughout her nursing career, Hannah gained valuable experience that she shares with her students. Hannah continues to practice nursing as a casual AHS employee.
In 2018, Hannah brought her wealth of experience to Medicine Hat College (MHC), initially joining as a part-time faculty member in the Bachelor of Nursing program, transitioning into a full-time role in the Practical Nurse program. Hannah has experience teaching across both MHC campuses, including Brooks Campus and the main campus in Medicine Hat.
Having relocated from Nova Scotia to Medicine Hat seven years ago, she's built a life enriched by the presence of her husband, three children, and a beloved dog. Hannah enjoys activities such as snowboarding, hiking, working out, watersports, and socializing.
In her teaching, Hannah prioritizes nurturing students' growth and resilience. She strives to prepare aspiring nurses for the challenges of healthcare, providing the tools they need to graduate as competent and compassionate caregivers.
