EmJ Neigum-Witzke, Mental Health Programmer
I attended the Medicine Hat College for the Dual Additions Counselling and Social Work Program before attending the University of Lethbridge for Bachelor of Health Sciences in Addictions Counselling. My background in Addictions Counselling and Social Work has been primarily crisis oriented and working with all populations within Medicine Hat, Brooks, and surrounding areas. I have a goal of completing a master's program in the future.
I am looking forward to supporting students in accessing mental health resources to broaden their skill set, encourage learning opportunities, and promote health and wellness during their time at the MHC. I am passionate about educating about mental wellness and how the students can best support themselves and others while attending the MHC and beyond.
I love to be creative professionally and personally in many art forms, from painting and clay work, to sewing and knitting. I am passionate about supporting LGBTQ2s+ students and being an advocate for all. I am excited to use these skills within my role as the Mental Health Programmer.
