Medicine Hat College invites applications for a temporary, full-time Graphic Designer position in our Centre for Innovation & Teaching Excellence (CITE) department.
A little about the role:
Primary responsibilities for this position include graphic design, as well as the development and implementation of multimedia content for courses and related projects led by the Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (CITE). In addition, this role serves as a consultant to faculty and academic departments, providing guidance on the integration of effective design strategies to enhance teaching and learning. The position also supports the creation of promotional and instructional materials for events organized by CITE.
Details:
- An undergraduate university degree in a related post-secondary program OR an equivalent combination of related post-secondary education and work experience.
- 2 years related experience.
- Proficiency in graphic design for web and digital environments, including tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Expertise in design, animation, and multimedia production using software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of and the ability to work in online course development and delivery environments such as Blackboard.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and members of the CITE team, including delivering presentations and providing support.
Term of Appointment: August 1, 2025 to February 1, 2026
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $28.28 per hour (Start Rate); $31.60 per hour (Job Rate)
