You have to apply to graduate through your Student Dashboard by March 15, 2024 to receive your credential.

When and where will the convocation ceremony take place?
Friday, June 14, 2024
1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (approx.)
Co-op Place, 2802 Box Springs Way NW

When should I arrive and where do I go?
All graduates participating in the ceremony will enter Co-op Place through the Stage Door entrance at the southeast end of the arena, indicated here:
Convocation parking map with entrances marked
You need to be in your convocation gown and ready to line up no later than 12 p.m. Please leave all personal items in your vehicle or with friends or family.

Please note: The Stage Door entrance will be locked at 12:50 p.m. You will not be able to participate in the ceremony if you arrive once the ceremony has started.

Staff will be on hand to assist with your convocation gown and stole and provide you with the required material you need to cross the stage. The material will be labelled with your program and name. It is important that you keep this material with you until you cross the stage during the ceremony. Staff line you up in alphabetical order (by last name) in your program. It is important that you maintain that order for the duration of the ceremony.

How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony will last approximately 3 hours. You and your guests are asked to remain seated in the arena for the duration of the ceremony.

What happens after the ceremony?
To celebrate your accomplishments, you and your guests are invited for complimentary refreshments at the Alumni Social on the concourse immediately following your ceremony. Please plan to attend and enjoy the celebration with your fellow graduates, instructors, and college staff.

GOWNS

How do I order my gown?
You can order your gown when you apply to graduate through your Student Dashboard. Convocation gown orders close on April 29, 2024.

Where do I pick up my gown?
Convocation gowns will be available for pick up on June 13, 2024 from 12 p.m.- 6 p.m. and June 14, 2024 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. through the Stage Door entrance at the southeast end of Co-op Place.

Gowns must be returned to the same location that you picked it up at by 5 p.m. on June 14, 2024. Should a gown fail to be returned, a hold will be placed on your account until the gown is returned or paid for. If your gown is returned late you will be responsible for the cost of shipping it to the gown provider in Winnipeg.

What should I wear?
The convocation gowns are warm, so consider the weather and wear appropriate clothing the day of your ceremony. The gowns typically fall to mid-calf, so business dress and comfortable shoes are suggested.

GUESTS & PARKING

How many guests can I invite?
There is no limit on the number of people you may invite. Doors open for guests at 12 p.m.

Where can my guests and I park?
Graduates will enter Co-op Place through the Stage Door entrance on the southeast side of the building, so it is recommended you park in the parking lot adjacent to those doors.  Your guests will enter through the main doors on the north side of the building; parking on the north, east, or west side of Co-op Place is advisable.
