Welcome to MHC!

Medicine Hat College (MHC) is a public, community college located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.  With just over 2000 full-time students, we are able to offer personalized supports and services.

MHC is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI# O18795445892). All academic credit programs are designated programs. Apprenticeship, Continuing Studies and Conservatory of Music & Dance programs do not qualify as designated learning programs.

English Language Requirements

English language proficiency (ELP) is a requirement for any student not educated in an ELP exempt country.

Students should be aware that their program may also have a requirement for an Academic English or Literature requirement that is not fulfilled by completing their ELP requirement. All ELP exams must be academic and not general where applicable.
