Requirements by Country
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
- Students from Brazil require proof of English Language Proficiency or Advanced English Language Proficiency depending on the program. Medicine Hat College requires Academic versions of English language examinations. Please visit our English Language Requirements page for more information.
BRAZIL EQUIVALENT TO ALBERTA HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT
- Students must submit their Certificado de Conclusão do Ensino Médio or their Certificado de Conclusão de Segundo Grau. An acceptable English translation (*see below notes) must accompany the Certificado.
- Students who do not have either Certificado should submit what transcripts they do have to admissions@mhc.ab.ca. We can then advise if those transcripts can be used for the assessment of the student’s application.
POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION AND TRANSFER CREDIT
- Students should submit their Histórico Escolar (academic transcripts) from each college/university by e-mail or mail accompanied by an acceptable English translation (*see below notes). Transcripts that are originally in English must be sent directly from the issuing college/university to Medicine Hat College.
- Please note that if a student can be admitted solely on their secondary school results, we will not require post-secondary transcripts. However, if a student wishes to be assessed for transfer credit, official transcripts are required.
- After being admitted to the program, if a student has provided official post-secondary transcripts, the student will receive an e-mail to their mymhc.ca e-mail account requesting detailed course outlines for transfer credit assessment. For more information, please e-mail transfer@mhc.ab.ca.
*ADDITIONAL NOTES / REQUIREMENTS
