We are seeking casual Educational Assistants (EAI) for second year Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) Labs in the Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) program.
A little about the role:
The Educational Assistant II will be responsible for assisting the faculty with lab instruction, student evaluations, and setup/clean-up of lab. The Educational Assistant II will organize the equipment for the lab session, demonstrate skills, provide feedback to students on skill acquisition and practical knowledge, and other related duties. Current recruitment is for Physical Therapist Assistant Labs; however, there may be other opportunities in first and second year Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant courses in the future.
Details:
- Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma, plus work related experience
- Candidates must have a competent level of knowledge and skill for the course material and possess excellent interpersonal and inter-professional collaboration skills
- Other qualifications include computer literacy, feedback and cueing skills, and core Occupational Therapist Assistant competencies
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience may be considered
Term of Appointment: September 3, 2025 – December 9, 2025
Hours: PTA labs: Tuesday afternoons – 42 hours total (Sept – Dec 2025)
Wednesday afternoons – 42 hours total (Sept – Dec 2025)
Pay Rate: $28.28/hour (Start Rate); $31.60/hour (Job Rate)
