Medicine Hat College’s School of Trades and Development invites applications for a full-time, term-certain Instructor in the Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship program.
A little about the role:
This position could include preparing and presenting classes in classroom/shop/lab settings, organizing and supervising practical assignments, conducting student evaluations and maintaining progress records. Seeking feedback from students on instructional effectiveness and relevance, participating in course reviews, program development and reviews, curriculum development, and maintaining contact with relevant industries will be on-going duties.

The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the college and the success of our students. This position requires a passion for, and a commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide a 10-minute presentation.
Details:
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of Alberta Journeyman/Inter-Provincial Red Seal AST ticket; AST/ HET dual ticket an asset.
- Five years’ experience in the field.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
