Medicine Hat College invites applications for a part-time Head Coach for the Rattlers Women’s Volleyball student athlete program. This is a contract position that is renewed annually subject to performance reviews and sufficient funding.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Athletics and Recreation, the Head Coach is responsible for the recruitment of student athletes, team selection, training, and in-season planning/scheduling. Working collaboratively within college departments, the head coach will support student athlete academic success & alumni relations, engage in community outreach programs, and lead the Rattlers Volleyball summer camps. An integral part of this position includes active community engagement and public relations responsibilities.
Details:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education or a relevant discipline.
- 3 years coaching experience in a post-secondary environment or provincial club level.
- NCCP Level III certification.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a high functioning, student athlete focused team.
- Strong passion and commitment to student athletics.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
