Medicine Hat College invites applications for a regular, full-time Administrative Assistant II in the Yuill School of Health & Community Services.
A little about the role:
The Yuill School of Health and Community Services at Medicine Hat College offers a range of academic programs designed to prepare students for high-demand roles in fields such as addictions counselling, nursing, paramedicine, pharmacy technician, and social work. The school combines classroom instruction, practical training, and hands-on experience.
The Administrative Assistant to the Yuill School of Health and Community Services provides reception to the school, establishing a welcoming tone. They also provide administrative support to the school by tracking important student documents in accordance with POPA guidelines and capturing minutes for program meetings. The Administrative Assistant interacts with faculty, students, and the general public in person, by phone and email, providing information and referrals regarding appropriate policy and requests for assistance.
Details:
• Two years related office experience.
• Strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly are essential to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, word processing and data entry skills, as well as have the ability to work both independently and as a team player.
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $23.55 per hour (Start Rate); $26.77 per hour (Job Rate)
