Medicine Hat College invites applications for a full-time regular facility operations supervisor at our Medicine Hat campus.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the maintenance manager in the facilities department. The role is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and supporting a multi-site maintenance team, including leading performance management and fostering a safe and inclusive workplace culture. It coordinates daily maintenance activities, preventative programs, and repairs using a CMMS to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The position also administers service contracts and minor projects, monitors vendor performance, and ensures all work meets compliance requirements. In addition, the role manages operational budgets, procurement, and cost tracking to support responsible use of resources. Oversight of fleet maintenance and readiness is required to ensure effective support for campus operations and events. The position provides after-hours leadership and incident coordination when needed, supports the reliability and performance of key building systems through data analysis and planning, and contributes to the planning, development, and delivery of capital maintenance and renovation projects.
Details:
- Technology Diploma in relevant field or Journeyperson certification in a relevant trade
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience including supervisory responsibilities
- Working Knowledge of building systems & trades
- Budget monitoring, purchasing & invoice approvals
- Incident response & problem solving under pressure
Salary: $75,229 gross annually
