Medicine Hat College invites internal applications for a full-time, regular Facility Maintenance Generalist I.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor this position will perform a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Duties will include troubleshoot minor maintenance problems, assemble and move furniture and equipment, and ensure that College goods and materials are handled and moved efficiently. This position purchases supplies and equipment necessary to complete projects, coordinates with outside contractors for various projects on site, and assists with the identification and execution of projects. Completing shipping and receiving tasks and coordinating routine maintenance of college fleet vehicles are on-going duties.
Details:
- Completion of High School or GED equivalency.
- A minimum of 3 years of related building maintenance experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $27.16 per hour (Start Rate); $30.70 per hour (Job Rate)
