Medicine Hat College’s Athletics & Recreation department welcomes internal applications for an Athletics & Recreation Facilities Supervisor.
A little about the role:
The primary area of responsibility for this position is to supervise the operations of facilities related to MHC Rattlers Athletics and recreation, including the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the College’s Athletics and Recreation facilities, specifically the Fitness Centre. The position is the on-site expert in MHC’s Fitness Centre Operations and encourages and promotes the health and wellness of students, staff and clients through innovative programming, and engagement with Fitness Centre users.
Details:
- Grade XII.
- Certificate in Athletics/Recreation/Fitness Administration from a recognized institution. Diploma is preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in a post-secondary Athletics/Recreation/Fitness environment.
- Fitness training certification preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with, or as part of, a Varsity Athletics team will be considered an asset.
- Skilled with athletic/recreation equipment and supplies.
- If not currently certified with the first three listed below; must obtain within the first 6 months of hiring
- St. John’s First Aid Course; preferably Athletic First Aid
- C.P.R. Training and certification
- AFLCA; Fitness Training certification
Hours: up to 35 hours per week, as needed and as scheduled by supervisor. Evening and weekend work may be required
Wage Rate: $24.85 (Start Rate); $28.10 (Job Rate)
