Medicine Hat College’s Community Engagement team is welcoming internal applications for a full-time, regular development officer.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, this position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with college executives, external stakeholders, board members, and staff to design, implement, and evaluate fund development initiatives. The role also involves coordinating communication efforts with marketing teams and providing administrative and strategic support to Medicine Hat College.
This position will oversee the day-to-day activities of fund development, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the college’s strategic objectives, and managing specific fundraising projects, including securing long-term sponsorships. Key responsibilities include planning events, nurturing donor relationships, maintaining accurate records and reporting, and ensuring adherence to college policies and safety standards.
Details:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of related post-secondary education and work experience.
- Three (3) years related experience in fundraising, communications, major events, or public relations.
- Preferred experience within a post-secondary educational environment.
- Knowledge of fund development practices.
Salary Range: $71, 326 - $83,433 per annum
