Medicine Hat College’s Department of Humanities and Social Science invites applications for a Term-Certain or Part Time Instructor in Philosophy for the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in moral philosophy, bioethics, and philosophy of science:
A little about the role:
The primary workload will include instructing courses in person. The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the College and the success of our students. This position requires passion and commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Details:
- Master’s degree in philosophy – minimum requirement (PhD preferred)
- Post-Secondary teaching experience is an asset
- Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
