Medicine Hat College’s School of Health & Community Services invites applications for a Full-Time Term Certain position in our collaborative nursing degree program with the University of Calgary that will commence July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
A little about the role:
The successful candidate will be required to engage in all the professional responsibilities of Full-Time faculty and contribute to an environment that fosters the success of the college and our students.
Details:
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required
- A master’s degree in nursing is preferred
- 5 years of full-time nursing practice as a Registered Nurse
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- Current or immediate eligibility for CRNA registration and be a member in good standing
- Current nursing experience in one of the following areas: medical or surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, mental health nursing, community nursing
- Demonstrated excellence in nursing (practice, education and research)
- Prior teaching experience preferred with the ability to incorporate theory into practice
- Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy

Degrees conferred outside of Canada must be accredited by the Province of Alberta, International Qualification Assessment Service (IQAS), Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, to be valid and recognized by Medicine Hat College.
All faculty who are newly hired, or are on temporary contracts, must provide official transcripts verifying their qualifications.
