Medicine Hat College’s School of Trades and Development invites applications for a part-time instructor in the Electrical Apprenticeship program.
A little about the role:
The responsibilities could include preparing and presenting classes in classroom/lab settings, organizing and supervising practical assignments, conducting student evaluations and maintaining progress records. Seeking feedback from students on instructional effectiveness and relevance, participating in course reviews, program development and reviews, curriculum development, and maintaining contact with relevant industries will be on-going duties.

The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the college and the success of our students. This position requires passion for, and a commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.
Details:
- Completion of Alberta Journeyman/Inter-Provincial Red Seal in Electrical
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience as a journeyman
- Solid theoretical knowledge of the Electrical trade
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Interest and enthusiasm in helping apprentices learn new ideas and develop new skills
- Past experience with instruction, and office computer applications are assets
