Medicine Hat College’s School of Arts, Science, and Education invites applications for a part time history instructor position in our Humanities and Social Sciences area. Courses to be taught include HIST 231 – Histories of Canada to 1867, HIST 350– 18th Century Europe, 1715-1815, HIST 233 – Histories of Canada Since 1867, HIST 351 – Nineteenth Century Europe, 1815-1914 or other courses as required during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters.
A little about the role:
The primary workload will include instructing courses in person. The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the College and the success of our students. This position requires passion and commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Details:
- Master's degree in history or a related field is required
- Post-Secondary teaching experience is an asset
- Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
