Medicine Hat College’s School of Arts, Science, and Education invites applications for a part time linguistics instructor in our Humanities and Social Sciences Department. Successful candidates will teach Introduction to Linguistics (LING 201) in the Fall 2025 and winter 2026 semester.
A little about the role:
The primary workload will include instructing courses in a variety of delivery modes to provide a quality learning experience to students. The successful candidate will also be required to engage in a variety of professional responsibilities and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters the mission of the College and the success of our students. This position requires a passion and commitment to learners, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team.

Details:
- Master’s Degree in Linguistics or a related field is required
- Post-Secondary teaching experience in both face to face and on-line formats
- Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
