The Centre for Innovation (C4I) at Medicine Hat College (MHC) is excited to invite applications for the position of Student Research and Outreach Assistant. We are seeking motivated individuals to contribute to innovative projects that drive advancements in health and technology.
A little about the role:
The Student Research and Outreach Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the coordination and communication of various student research projects, with a particular focus on innovation in healthcare, especially within digital health and motion capture technology. The successful candidate will assist in organizing research activities, ensuring seamless communication across teams, and developing an outreach plan to promote applied research initiatives within the region.
This role includes coordinating meetings, schedules, and logistics for ongoing research projects to ensure efficient operations. You will also assist in preparing research reports, presentations, and other communication materials to effectively convey findings. A key responsibility will be analyzing the potential applications and benefits of emerging technologies, particularly motion capture, to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Additionally, you will create promotional materials, such as brochures, presentations, and digital content, to showcase the advantages of digital health and motion capture technologies. Finally, you will organize and coordinate outreach activities, including workshops, webinars, and community events, to engage local stakeholders and cultivate new research collaborations.

Terms of Employment: 10 weeks starting May 19th
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour
