The MHC Conservatory offers several choral programs including the Children's Choir, and Community Chorus which are open to new and experienced members, as well as the Girls' Choir which is by audition.

Private Lessons

Our programs are designed to build both skill and a love for music. Instruction is offered in piano, voice, brass and guitar.  

One-on-one instruction in piano, voice, brass and guitar. Semester and full year intakes available.

Policies

Full payment at the time of registration is required. Additionally, receipt of payment must be shown to instructors before lessons are provided to students. On the first day of lessons, please provide the instructor with a printed or digital copy of your payment receipt.

Parents/guardians are provided with a registration link and payment can be made online, in-person or by phone with Registration Services. 

Lesson registration options are as follows: (all must be paid in full before lessons are provided)

  • Semester One: September – December
  • Semester Two: January – June
  • Semester One and Two: September – June

Full attendance of lessons is required. There are no refunds for missed lessons.

Lessons missed by student

  • Lessons canceled by the student are made up at the discretion of the instructor.
  • In most cases, a student's planned holidays, if they fall during regular teaching weeks, count as regular lessons and are forfeited.
  • If possible please let your instructor know at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson; call your instructor directly to indicate an absence.

Lessons missed by the instructor

  • Any canceled lesson initiated by an instructor will be made up.
  • Students should not attend lessons or Conservatory group classes or ensembles if they are exhibiting signs and symptoms of illness. Instructors may ask students to leave their studio or class is they seem to pose a health risk to other students or the instructor. Students who cannot attend a lesson due to illness will forfeit that lesson if it falls during the regular teaching schedule.
  • Signs and symptoms include, vomiting, fever, unexplained rash, heavy coughing, excessive nose running, etc.

 Private Studio Lesson

  • Registration is online with full payment needed.
  • There are no refunds or withdrawal options.
  • Ensure you consult with the instructor before registering for lessons.

Group Ensembles

  • No refunds will be considered after the commencement of an ensemble or group class.
The MHC Conservatory will be closed on all statutory holidays.
