Amber Farrer, Instructor

Education & Credentials:

• University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business - Bachelor of Commerce Degree
• Medicine Hat College - Business Administration Diploma

Began teaching at MHC: 2023

Amber has worked in sales and marketing industry for over 20 years, having held roles such as entrepreneur, sales and territory manager, project manager, and team manager. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing. She is currently obtaining her Master of Business Degree at the University of Canada West and working to obtain her Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) designation. 

As an educator, Amber is passionate about experiential learning and immersive learning experiences. She integrates real-world projects into courses, giving students hands-on opportunities to collaborate with community partners, organize and host events, and work with local businesses on projects. This approach has earned her students local media coverage and recognition from various businesses and charities. Amber strives to create connections, opportunities, and experiences that set students up for success when they begin their careers.

Amber is committed to creating a fun, positive, engaging classroom environment where students feel excited, inspired, and motivated. 

The highlight of her career so far includes being nominated for various awards including Teacher of the Year in 2023.
