When asked what makes being a nursing educator enjoyable or rewarding, it is an easy answer. Having the opportunity to create an impact in not only positive health outcomes, but to facilitate and nurture the passion for nursing and patient care within the students. These opportunities provide immense job satisfaction, and instill a belief that my work is able to positively impact Albertans, and beyond.
Students can expect honesty and respect from me, as well as high expectations, in a safe, supportive environment.
Fun fact: we are a baseball family and have a part-time residence in the US, where we have a pet (wild) opossum in our back yard.
